Yoga has been a powerful part of my own healing and growth for many years. My journey deepened when I began teaching for the Marengo Park District, where I discovered how meaningful it was to support others in feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected in their bodies.
To continue expanding my knowledge, I went on to study through the Himalayan Institute, where I strengthened my understanding of yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and the mind–body connection.
When I later moved to Homosassa, I was surprised to discover that there were no local yoga studios. Knowing how much yoga had supported my life, I felt called to create a welcoming space where others in the community could experience the same benefits. That vision became Yoga Ray Fitness — a warm and inclusive studio where every body, every age, and every experience level is welcome.
My teaching style is compassionate, grounding, and focused on alignment, breath, and nervous-system calming. My goal is to help students feel at home in their bodies, supported in their practice, and connected — both on and off the mat. I am truly grateful to share this beautiful practice with the Homosassa community.

After being diagnosed with a chronic disorder, the cardio and step classes caused too much pain and tenderness throughout my body. I started yoga classes and was introduced to Yin Yoga over 15 years ago. Yin saved me and has become a weekly ritual to balance my life. Hatha yoga and low impact workouts helped balance out my weekly routines. As a newly certified instructor, I am excited to share my experiences by focusing on strengthening and stretching the body for an overall awareness. We can always do more than we think, we may just need to modify how we obtain our results.

I have always been a gym rat, starting back in my twenties. I have worked out at home, viewing exercise tapes for years. One day, an instructor needed a sub and I volunteered to step in. I enjoyed this so much that I continued on to earn my Group Fitness Instruction Certificate then earned by Basic Yoga Certificate. I enjoy blending my fitness classes with cardio, strength training, core, stretching and yoga.
It would be an honor to have you join me in my classes to share my experience.

You may have seen me popping in a class every once and a while. I actually live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. We recently bought a place here in Homosassa and come back when we can. I guess I could call us "shore birds" since we spend more time here in the summer. I received my YTT in 2021 and have been teaching for the last three years in Illinois. My style of teaching is more of a slow flow. I like to be able to cater to all levels. I found YRF on one of my visits and now call YRF home. I am excited to learn more about all of you and look forward to sharing my love with you.
